Today I added a third lens to my lineup: The Canon EF 40mm f/2.8 STM “pancake” lens. As much love as the 50mm “nifty fifty” gets, I think I actually like this one more. You get a little bit more wide angle and the focus motor is super quiet. Definitely looking forward to taking some shots with this soon.

My first JetPens order. I’ll admit, I just wanted to try out the Ohto Graphic Liner, so the Sakura Pigma Micron and the Moleskine were just fillers to get free shipping. Not a bad deal in the end, though.

Update on the Nifty MiniDrive:
The Mark 3 (plus revised packaging) has been designed to address all the issues we have been seeing in the field. It has essentially been re-designed from the ground up, focusing on substantially improving the Aluminium/Body join (read “you’ll have to break the entire MiniDrive before this sucker is coming off”) as well as changing the microSD card orientation to remove any read/write issues that may occur.
Let’s hope they’ve worked out all the problems. I’m looking forward to buying a functional one for my new MacBook Pro!
